Unless you can manage to close them all.
I agree that sealing is better, but it is also useful to spend those gate tokens for blessings, allies, spells, etc. It also helps avoid monster surges. There are only so many clues on the board at a time...

I actually don't mind monster surges, as it keeps the doom track from advancing.

I may host a game of AH when the new board comes up. Is anyone interested? I think it would be ok for me to GM AND play since it's a co-op game.

Depends on timing. Getting close to a full load, but yes, interested.

I don't think we ever made a clear decision whether the new board should be only for TI3 or for other games as well. I guess a few games in a sideforum will be fine, though.

Just started a game on the BGG forums. Only into the second turn, but it is going well.
It seems like GMing one of those games is quite an investment, which is probably why it takes so long to get into a game.
Using the excellent Vassal module would make that process a lot easier. Yes, GMing and playing a co-op should be no problem.
AH is less of an investment than TI3, so I would probably join in.

THis is one of those games I played once and had a bad experience with. However, I wouldn't mind learning more and trying again.

Yes, according to their waiting list, they are using Photoshop and Excel, with almost no automation. That is probably very tedious for the GM. I have GM'd two BSG games on BGG so far, using OpenOffice Calc and Gimp but the spreadsheet for that uses a lot of macros for automation. If the game was moving at a quick pace that was a lot of work.
If you want to use Vassal for AH, that is of course another story because the BGG forum does not allow attachments. Given that the new site will not have such a tight attachment restriction, trying out some other games will not be a problem.
I will post something about this in the announcement forum as well.
